This enumeration probe set contains chromosome specific alphoid DNA repeat sequences located at the centromeres of chromosome X and chromosome Y.

Probe information

OGT's CytoCell® satellite probes are specific for human chromosomes. They are highly repeated human DNA sequences found in the centromere, pericentromeric or heterochromatic block of each of the 24 chromosomes. The probes enable the identification and enumeration of human chromosomes in interphase cells or metaphase chromosomes from peripheral blood samples.
