You will be working in OGT’s Oncology Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) team.
This internship will be focused within the cancer genomics field where you will learn NGS techniques for product development.

My placement with OGT has given me a unique and valuable insight into the NGS industry, all while learning so much from my wonderful colleagues and working on products that bring real benefits to researchers. There really is no substitute for a placement of this quality as an undergrad.

You will be working in OGT’s Software Development team.
This internship will be focused on using, improving and adding new features to Interpret, OGT’s next generation sequencing software solution, which will allow you to develop pipeline development and data analysis skills.
By the end of the internship, you will have gained a good understanding of the data processing aspects of the latest experimental technologies being applied in biological and clinical research and practice.

Becoming part of the Computational Biology team has meant I have experienced part of the essential role bioinformatics has within the healthcare industry. It’s been fascinating but challenging to collaborate with other members of R&D to work towards the delivery of new products with exciting potential.
